Delete Your Account
This page explains how to delete your Foghlaim AI account and what data will be removed.
📱💻 Two Platforms, One Account
Your Foghlaim AI account works across both the mobile app (Android) and web app (app.foghlaimai.com). Deleting your account will remove all data from both platforms.
⚠️ Important: Account Deletion is Permanent
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Once you delete your account, you will lose:
- All your progress, points, and achievements
- Your daily streak and level
- Homework history and past sessions
- Any saved preferences or settings
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Via Web App (Recommended) 💻
The easiest way to delete your account is through the web app:

Go to Settings
Click your profile avatar → "Settings"

Navigate to Account Settings
Scroll down to the "Account" section

Click "Delete Account"
You'll find this option at the bottom of the Account section

Confirm Deletion
Read the warning message and confirm that you want to permanently delete your account

Account Deleted
Your account and all associated data will be immediately deleted from all platforms (mobile + web)
Option 2: Via Mobile App 📱
If you're using the mobile app:

Open the Mobile App
Launch Foghlaim AI on your Android device

Go to Settings
Tap the "Settings" button (gear icon)

Navigate to Account Settings
Scroll down to the "Account" section

Tap "Delete Account"
You'll find this option at the bottom

Confirm Deletion
Confirm that you want to permanently delete your account

Account Deleted
Your account and all data will be deleted from both mobile and web platforms
Option 3: Via Email 📧
If you're unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion via email:
Send an email to:
support@foghlaimai.com
Include in your email:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your account
- Your username (if you remember it)
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
Response time: We will process your request within 48 hours and send you a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
🗂️ What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

📝 Data Retention Period
- Immediate deletion: Most data is deleted immediately upon account deletion
- Backup retention: Some data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days for disaster recovery purposes, then permanently purged
- Legal requirements: In rare cases, we may retain certain data if required by law (e.g., for ongoing investigations)
- Anonymous analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (no personal information) may be retained for product improvement
🔐 What Data is NOT Deleted
The following data cannot be deleted because it doesn't identify you personally:
- Anonymized usage statistics: Aggregate data like "500 users solved math problems today" (no personal information)
- Server logs: Technical logs required for security and debugging (automatically expire after 90 days)
🔄 What Happens After Deletion
- You will be immediately logged out of all devices
- Your username will become available for others to use
- You cannot recover your account or data after deletion
- You can create a new account anytime, but you'll start fresh with no previous data
🤔 Alternatives to Deleting Your Account
Before you delete, consider these alternatives:
- Take a break: You don't need to delete your account if you just want to stop using the app temporarily
- Use Guest Mode: Log out and use the app anonymously (5 free questions per day)
- Change your settings: Update privacy settings or disable notifications
- Export your data: Contact us to request a copy of your data before deletion
